Carthage Christian Church’s mission is to preach, teach, and practice the love of Jesus Christ wherever we are, but particularly in the Carthage community. Our history dates back to 1832, when frontier evangelist Walter Scott began preaching in Carthage and founded a congregation there. Today, we’re a diverse group of people from all walks of life whose vision is to be one with God, His Kingdom, and each other.
How do we live out this vision? Some of us do it by being active in ministries to and with the people of the community. Others have a gift for community service, or prayer, or sharing their faith with people they know who are in need of Christ’s healing and empowering presence in their lives.
